Impact data from the Living in Beta Pilot, held in Spring 2021 with 200+ students across the U.S., was published in Getting Smart.

Living in Beta is a transformational wayfinding program that empowers students to explore their passions, drive their learning, and develop the tools to live with intention. Through Living in Beta, students find direction, they engage their passions in real-world learning experiences that help them build important 21st century skills, such as internships, job shadows, and experiential service, and they design purpose-driven projects that connect their learning to their lives.

These hybrid courses are designed for teachers, student advisors, community leaders, and career and professional development program leaders interested in implementing Living in Beta in their school or organization.

The Level I Mentorship Program prepares you to mentor the first stage of the Living in Beta program, Exploration. Through exploration, students identify their passions, find ways to connect them to relevant learning and growth opportunities, and test them through real-world experiences. To learn more, refer to our Wayfinding Mentorship Level I Course Outline.

The Level II Mentorship Program prepares you to mentor their students through the Discovery and Purpose stages of Living in Beta, where students identify their values and better understand their Why, empowering them to live and learn with intention. Level I Mentorship certification is a prerequisite for participating in the Level II program. To learn more, refer to our Wayfinding Mentorship Level II Course Outline.

“I will feel the impact of this experience for years to come as it ripples both inward and outward. The powerful and practical tools, the abundance of resources, and the community of like-minded people who are in the midst of doing life-changing work are just some of the gifts it has brought.

I cannot thank you enough.”
